Question: Hello Jaxon, I have been making homemade toffee for years. I have never used a candy thermometer and it always came out superb. I am from California. I am now living in Colorado and I cannot seem to get it right. The sugar keeps seperating from the butter and I have a big greasy mess. I seem to do better on a gas stove but I don't have one.. Is it possible to make it without this happening on an electric stove. It came out on a gas stove at a friends, one batch anyway. Two of them did not come out so good. It was fair but I cannot afford to waste anymore butter and sugar. I think it might be the altitude because this has never happened in California. Please tell me what I can do to correct the problem. I don't like electric stoves but that is all I have. Can you tell me how to adjust the recipe so I won't keep wasting ingredients? I always made the best toffee and don't know what to do. Help! Thanks Jaxon Blessings, Joyce

Question: Jaxon,
Hello! This is Lynn. We met at BNI and I have recently taken two of your cooking classes through PCSD.
I am in charge of putting together a holiday party for BNI and when we talked you had suggested a Snow Party in January. I think this would be a great idea and would like to know what your pricing is if we wanted to have the party at your lodge with desserts and we would bring alcohol.
I would estimate about 50 people for the party. We are interested in a 7 to 11pm time slot and preferably on the weekend. If the weekday would be less expensive, that would be better. Our budget is $1500.
Talk to you soon,
Lynn

Question: Hi Jaxon, Over the summer I took some teen classes of yours and we made the most delicious ginger snap cookies. This weekend my grandparents are coming in town and ginger snaps are their favorite. If I remember correctly they were called big ginger chewies or something like that. If you could send me the recipe that would be fantastic!
Thanks so much

Question: Chef Jaxon,
I spoke with you briefly today about your private cooking school. I'm looking to schedule an event during the day next Fri., Nov. 4. I'm interested in booking a private cooking class for five people. The focus is to have a team activity, so something simple is good; however, it would be great to do something that's very hands-on so everyone can participate. Can you please let me know:
1. If this is possible.
2. What type of class you'd recommend for an event like this
3. What costs for the event would look like.
Feel free to call me on my cell (801.201.8897).
Thank you!
